Welcome! Here starts a tour through Biology. On this Science blog we will see, week to week, the historical discoveries, the fundamental concepts, some particular cases, the techniques used in research and the philosophy behind scientific thought. We will do it step by step, little by little, with pretty drawings and small texts.

For this we will base ourselves on the knowledge that can be obtained from the study of the vinegar or fruit fly, the Drosophila, that tiny fly that appears in our houses when we have very ripe fruits or fruit scraps in the garbage can.

We are going to see why this little fly is studied so much and how these studies help us understand how living beings work and how they interact with their surrounding environment. Ultimately, all the contributions that the study of the Drosophila flies gives to the knowledge of Biology in general.

It may seem like an enormous task, but the idea is to connect posts as curiosity starts appearing, without a clear thematic or logical order (at least not in the long run). So if you like what you see you can suggest subjects for future posts and I can see how to arrange them.

Also, you can follow the site on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see new posts when they come up.

So, last but not least, thank you very much for being here, and if you like it, share, invite and comment!
